Kamal Haasan Attracts Defamation For ‘Hindu Terror’ Remark
A defamation case has been filed in Varanasi against Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, for his objectionable ‘Hindu terror’ remark.
The matter will be heard on November 4th.
Kamal has been booked under sections 500 (Punishment for defamation), 511, 298 (hurting religious sentiment), 295-A (intend to outrage religious feelings) and 505-C (attempt to incite hatred enmity between classes).
He recently commented that the right-wing groups were resorting to violence.
“Right-wing cannot challenge anyone saying there are Hindu terrorists, because their terror has spread into their camp as well. Such terror activities are not going to help them in way,” the actor said.
These comments apparently did not go down well with the BJP leaders and cadre.
Senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar asked Kamal to apologize for the statement.
He event criticized that the actor’s mental status was unstable and he should seek treatment for the same.
Meanwhile, popular actor Prakash Raj took to Twitter, to back Kamal’s statement.
